OUR WORLD DAY 2024

On Wednesday, the pupils came to school in clothing that represented their cultures and backgrounds. We had Reya's mum from Year 1 come and do an assembly where she performed a rhythmic Thillana which is part of a classical Indian Dance called Bharathanatyam.

Musa (Yr 3) and Hafsa (Yr 1) were joined by their mum in Year 3 and Year 1 who created an informative video which she showed to each class and gave some interesting facts about Pakistan. The pupils were then shown how to create Mendhi designs using henna. Mrs Conway-Boyne's and Musa's hand were decorated in class for the children to see. Mrs Wigodsky and Miss van der Valk also had henna drawn on their hands. A great time was had by all!
